I started CrossFit in 2010 looking for something different. I had tried everything from Jiu-Jitsu to the regular ‘Globo’ gym routine, but I was bored and needed a change. After my 1st CrossFit class I was hooked and knew this was what I was looking for. Being a NYC Fireman, CrossFit offered me the perfect training tool to help me prepare for the physical stress endured during a typical workweek.

After learning from two remarkable coaches for a couple of years at CrossFit 516, I was asked to join the coaching staff in 2012 and was deeply honored. Coaching gave me a new challenge that I enjoyed. I was able to apply what I had learned and help others.

It brings a smile to my face when a student accomplishes something they never thought possible. Knowing I helped them reach their goals is rewarding to me. One of the things I love to teach is the barbell movements. It’s something that always intimidates people at first but when you teach them the right way to move their body around the barbell they keep coming back for more.
